　　Fast radio bursts (FRBs), as a short-time scale radio wave band explosion phenomenon discovered in recent years, is one of the hot research field in astronomy. The discovery of FRB 200428 from our Galaxy has won the 10 remarkable discoveries of 2020 in Science magazine and Nature magazine. This talk will introduce the latest research progress of fast radio bursts, including observational properties, physical models, statistical properties and cosmological applications, and look forward to its future research trends.

　　Title: Astronet-TESS: How AI helped TESS found thousands of planets quickly

　　Abstract: 

　　NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite surveys more than half a million stars every month. Selecting planetary candidates out of tens of thousands of signals manually would mean it's almost impossible for scientists to keep up with the discovery speed of the satellite. Luckily, AI came to the rescue. Today, I'll talk about the machine learning algorithm we use in the MIT Quick look up pipeline to help us speed up the process of identifying exoplanet. I'll give an overview of the history of the development, introduce you to the newest convolutional neural network we trained for the TESS extended mission, and discuss future plans.
