Shanghai Astronomical Observatory (SHAO) is located in the bustling Xujiahui commercial district (address: 80 Nandan Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai, 200030). SHAO is closest to Exit No. 1 of Metro Line 1, Line 9 and Line 11 Xujiahui Station (click here for more information about Shanghai Metro).

 

 

 

  • The distance from Hongqiao Airport Terminal 2 (the new terminal) to SHAO is about 15km, which costs <~60 CNY (or 75 CNY between 23:00 and 05:00) by taxi. The distance from Pudong Airport to SHAO is about 50km, which costs <~180 CNY (or 240 CNY between 23:00 and 05:00) by taxi.
