SHAO Astrophysics Colloquium

Title: How far away we are from the template bank of CBC for gravitaitonal wave detection in space

Speaker: Zhou jian Cao 曹周键 (Beijing Normal University)

Time: 3pm, May. 27th (Thursday)

Location: Lecture Hall, 3rd floor

Abstract:

More and more interesting gravitational wave events have been found by ground-based gravitational wave detectors. With the success of LISA Pathfinder, Taiji-1 and Tianqin-1, more and more countries and research teams join in the research of space gravitational wave detection. Currently, LISA, Taiji and Tianqin are the three most promising space gravitational wave detection projects. It is very possible that the space gravitational wave detector will become a reality in 10 years. Gravitational wave template is an important basis for gravitational wave data processing. This talk will introduce the current situation of ground gravitational wave detection and data analysis, the requirements of gravitational wave template by the space gravitational wave detection, and the challenges and current development of the gravitational wave template research.
